Dental fillings are materials use to restore teeth that have been damaged by cavities or tooth decay. When your teeth develop a cavity our dental team will remove the decayed portion and fill the area with a dental filling. This will restore the tooth’s structure and function.
Our dental filling process begins with numbing the affected area to make it more comfortable experience. We then will remove the decay portion of the tooth and clean the cavity. Once your tooth is prepared the chosen filling will be applied in layer. Then we will polish and shape the filling after it’s hardened to make sure it matches the existing teeth.
During your general dental exam we perform a routine check-up where our team evaluates your overall oral health.
This includes inspecting your teeth, gums, and mouth for signs of cavities, gum disease, or other dental issues. X-rays may also be taken to get a clearer view of areas not visible to the naked eye.
Regular dental exams help detect problems early and maintain your oral health.
During your dental cleaning our team will remove plaque, tartar and stains from your teeth. During the cleaning your teeth will be thoroughly cleaned, polished and depending on preference treated with fluoride, leaving you with a beautiful smile. We recommend cleanings every 6 months but this can vary per patient.
A general pediatric dental exam is a routine check-up designed specifically for children. During the exam, our team will check your child’s teeth, gums, and overall oral development to ensure everything is healthy and progressing normally. This visit may also include a gentle cleaning, fluoride treatment, and tips on proper oral hygiene.
Regular pediatric exams help prevent cavities, monitor growth, and promote lifelong healthy habits.
